Yes, it doesn't work on my Mac either. It just crashes my browser.
As you said, it plays fine in QuickTime.
I'm going to say that it's Premiere Elements, but I can't be sure. Does it give you any settings to tweak? If so, what does it let you change?
I can see fields in the encoding, you should see if the software can deinterlace the video for you as it makes the MP4.
I'm sorry, I've never used APE3, but if things don't work themselves out, maybe I could download the demo and run it on my PC.
Can you try exporting as a DV AVI and then use QuickTime Pro to make the movie. I know this ads a step, but it would be helpful to know if QT can make a browser-viewable movie.
Since you're not launching until the 15th, you still have time, eh?
