Hello Per,

You are going to be OK!

It took iTunes a few days to approve your show for inclusion in the Store. You will not have to wait to have every episode approved from now on. They only do that when you are submitting the podcast for the first time.

As a rule, iTunes will update your listing in the store once per day, and if you've added a new episode in that time it will show up in the list. You can speed the update process up my pinging the store. After you ping, your new episodes will show up in just a few minutes after you've posted them.

You do not need a .Mac account for any of this. I produce several podcasts and do not/will not use .Mac for any of them. The only thing you need to use the music store is a free store account and a credit card. If you've submitted your podcast, you have already got that account.

You can ping the iTunes store using your web browser. All you need is the address to your store page. You can get this by going to your page in the store and right-clicking on your podcast logo in the upper left corner. Choose "Copy iTunes Store URL". The URL will look like this :

http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=123456789

See that 9 digit string of numbers at the end? That is the ID of the podcast in Apple's database. To ping the store, add YOUR 9 digit ID to THIS address:

https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?id=xxxxxxx...

Just replace those last xxxxxxxxx with your podcast ID. Paste that entire address into your browser and hit Enter. Once you get a confirmation message from apple, just bookmark that page and use it every time you post a new episode.

Easy!

Good luck!
