Upload time to Apple Musicstore + .mac acount

I'm a newbie in this area, but when I uploaded my first podcast to Apple Musicstore it tooks about a week before it was public, because it first have to be accepted from Apple.

I'm now having some news podcast, where a week is to long time before publishing. How can we publish to Musicstore, so it only will takes some few hours before they will be publish ?

Another guy told me that it's necessary to have a .mac acount to use Musicstore, but I can't see the reason to this. Has he right, or .... ?
