Will Vegas start rendering if there isn't enough storage space?

I'm doing a time lapse video compressing 18 hours of footage (about 50GB's) into 4 minutes.

Unfortunately, I'm doing this on my laptop and it doesn't have much storage space.

I've already started the render and it's showing about 20 hours left, but I just want to know if Vegas would actually start rendering if there isn't enough storage space for the final edit?

I'd hate to wait 19+ hours only to get an error screen pop up saying I need more space and to try again cause that would suck!!
