[Matt Moore] " I've noticed that I always end up with some jaggies or other artifacts like that when I create an avi file from the raw footage and also when I create an mpeg2 file too. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to avoid this?"
Make sure that you are using the Best setting when you render. The Good setting is the default, and is fine for rendering to the same size as your source but if you are resizing your video like you are, you should use Best to make the resize smoother.
