Hello there!
Im new here, saw your post, im trying to help.
I have a panasonic HDC-HS300 avchd 60i japanese model NTSC
I have a lot of problems rendering with sony avc codec too, now i know there's a bug with this codec no matter version of sony vegas you are using Pro or Platinum.
After a final render to avchd 60i i MUST use another software called TSMUXER to fix that jerky playback.
Just load your final video and remux it.
playback will be nice after that but you can't use DVD architect anymore because it will crash.
I don't burn to DVD or Blu-ray so i can accept that.
Now im using XDCAM codec mp4 35mbps and the result is quite good.

download TSMUXER and tell me if it works, see ya.
