Trouble with Sony vegas carshing and deleting my saved progress.

I've been working on a project in Sony Vegas and It's been having problem creating " Proxy Streams" and has been crashing a lot randomly. But recently I opened SV10 after it crashed and it deleted most of my project. It actually opens one of the old save files from when I started the project. So I am basically asking if I can Recover The file, and possibly stop these problems. Thanks!
