John, I've never tried importing that many frames so that may very well be a limit.
The workaround would be to import the sequence multiple times, incrementing the lower and upper frame numbers each time.
This would result in (if my math is correct) 7 sequences).
Drop them all om the timeline and see what happens when you press play.
