by on May 10, 2011 at 1:02:45 am

hi all!

I recently aquired a quad core desktop with 4 gigs of ram, quite inexpensively from a friend.

Finally I thought, I was ready to start editing! Some friends I was helping with a music video gave me some footage from a Canon 60 D. I'm assuming it's the .h264 (it's .mov).

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to edit this in Vegas, but I am unable to edit it wihout huge pauses etc.

So I'm searching on Craigslist for a cheap video card that's better then my current (Nvidia Quadro NVS 285)...

I've heard something about hardware acceleration, then I've read Vegas doesn't support it?

I know the info is out there, but after a lot of reading, if anyone could
point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful!
