applying media fx enmasse

How can I apply a particular media fx (not event or video fx) to all media I've selected?

With event fx you can copy an event and then paste its attributes on lots of other events, but you can't do that with media fx, you can't even ctrl + copy a media fx.

I have a bunch of images that I want to chroma key all the same color. They are already used in lots of different places in my project so individually selecting all of them and adding a video fx is not the way to go.
