Drag your video to the time kibe.
Place your curser at the beginning of where yoy want to make the cut.
Press "S" which will split the video at that point.
Move the curser to the end of the area you want to cut and press S agagin.
Then highlight or select the section you just made and press delete.
Drag the right fremaining clip over to abutt the left one for a cut edit. Overlap it for a dissolve.
