Missing Video plz help

Ok well first off ty for looking at this thread and trying to help me.

I still use Vegas 8 since I can't afford anything better right now so...

I've got 4 vob files altogether 3 capped at 1,048,544 kb,
I try and drag a vob media file from my desktop to vegas 8 and it gets reduced to 8sec for the first file 12 secs for the 2nd file and the 3rd and 4th are fine , it's like all the video is missing and i just took it from a cd my father gave me of my grandma doin some old recipes , i was spost to edit it and then burn some dvd's for family , but when i watch it w/ lets WMP or QT it plays all the entire video.

Pls help me figure this out tks.
