Timeline Scroll -- keeping it centered as it plays...

Hey all,
I know you can continually hold down the Slash/Line button on the keyboard to achieve what the Avid does naturally, but is there an Option/Preference setting where I can force the timeline to stay centered around my cursor marker.
What I want to happen visually is: I press play, and the TIMELINE moves right-to-left...the cursor/line/marker isn't moving.
Reason: I'm usually editing on a precision point in the timeline and like to ZOOM in and I'd prefer not to have to manually chase that point down once it disappears offscreen by having to set markers and zooming back out etc...
