Three-point Editing
by

I am a professional news photographer now using Avid. Our TV station is switching to Vegas Pro 8. We will mostly be editing in the field using lap-tops (so shortcuts on keyboard are important). I'm only able to do a three-point edit from trimmer (in/out set on timeline) if "Collapse Loop Region" is checked, but I can't use "I" and "O" keys, only drag sliders (typing in exact timecode for in/out points is impractical for me). Is there a way to fix this--I don't need, want loop regions. Also, Fit-to-Fill is disabled if Collapse Loop Region is unchecked. Thanks, Bill.
