Thanks for the help. I've got it now. The book Avid Mady Easy by Jaime Fowler comes with a disc that has the program as well as product key/serial information. Mine was sealed in the original envelope in the back of the book.

Check Amazon.com if you are looking for a legit copy of Free DV. Lots of private sellers still have the book (and probably the disc that goes with it).
