Avid Express Suggestions

This is cross-posted, after getting no response in main forum;
Greetings All,
I need to reacquaint myself with Avid for an upcoming project.
As the free version has gone bye-bye, I am looking at one of the flavors of Avid Express available via Ebay - since that has been dropped, too. Media Composer is a bit of a reach for my purposes.
Avid Express DV, Pro, etc. - which might you recommend?
I am on a DP 867 Mac G4, 2G RAM at home, where I hope
to re-learn a few things. I used Avid a couple year's
ago and have been on FCP since that time.
Any advice is most appreciated!
