Old FCP Editor new to Premiere

Hi everyone!
I've edited for years professionally on a MAC, and on FCP.
I am building a new edit suite (Mac Hardware/Adobe Production Premium software) and I wanted to know if I would be able to record Narrations or voice overs by running my mic through a mixer and then into Blackmagic Intensity, and finally into Premiere.
Does this workflow work or do I need to buy an M-Audio box. I'd prefer to have no audio latency during the recording if possible.
Thanks!
