Field dominance

I'm using PPro 1.5 still, and when the the matrox RTX100 card failed, I bought a canopus ADVC, re-installed Adobe minus matrox,and re-imported my project. But the effects (mainly mixes) in what I'd edited so far are jittery when played in real time.

A colleague has found that my clips were captured in lower field but the project setting is upper field. I have tried reversing the field of some of the clips, which looked OK until rendered.

I would like to preserve the edit incl. the effects; my question is,how,and then how can I continue? Can I upgrade it/use it in different programmes?
