Mike TomeiExport without rendering first?
by on Sep 28, 2010 at 2:00:15 pm

Hello all,

I've searched the forums, but found mixed opinions on this. I'm working on a project in Premiere CS5 that contains mixed formats, so I have some render lines appearing. (AVC-INTRA and some standard def DVD files inside a DVCPRO HD sequence) I can edit the project just fine without rendering. I'm wondering if I need to render before I export to Adobe Media Encoder, or will AME render as it exports?

I'm also curious as to the workflow aspect of this. For those of you who have a heavy workflow, do you render first then export to AME, or not render first?

Thanks.

Mike Tomei
