All DVD players have all of the audio and video codecs needed to play DVDs. Typical DVD codecs are MPEG2 for video and MPEG-1 Layer 2 or DVD_LPCM_AUDIO for audio. Many DVD players will also play VCDs, some even play MP3 and WMV formatted files.

When you export your movie use presets for DVD-Video.
Do the same for burning, burn a disc that is of the DVD-Video format.
