Document size vs pixel dimension of a still
by

Hello,
I was wondering if somebody could briefly explain to me what an ideal document size of a still to set in Photoshop for use in Final Cut Pro might be. I currently set still pixel dimensions to no larger than 2800 px (width or height). Is there a similar limit or range that the document size should be set to/within?
Thank you,
Matt
