need help for photoshop dummies

ok, first please dont call me stupid. for asking this question. :) here is the deal. My mom has photoshop on her desktop and she has had it for a little while and now she has a laptop she wants to put it on. But she has also moved and cant find the program to download it on her laptop in all of her junk. So this is what I thought we could do.
can I download a trial for her. and is there any way to get her code out of her program on her desktop to put in the trial version? I mean there has to be a way she can switch computers without having to buy the program again right? if any one can help it would be very much appriciated. Thanks
