importing still frames from FCP
by Mark Barroso (Mark in Chapel Hill) on Jul 13, 2008 at 3:40:08 am

I exported a still frame from FCP 4.5 and saved it alternately as jpeg, .tif, even .pdf. I then saved to disc to bring over to my PC for Photoshop Elements 6.0. It refuses to import any of the files because they are "an unsupported file." I can save them to the desktop and view them, but PE doesn't like them.

Is the problem because I'm going from Mac to PC? Is there a proper way to do this. I can open the files in the editor, but not bring them into the organizer.

Thanks.

FCP 4.5 /
OS 10.4.9 /
1Ghz G4 powerbook + 1 G ram /
Daisy chained: LaCie FW 400 150 GB and G-tech 500 HD
G-Tech Quad 750GB connected by eSATA PCMCIA card
playback deck: Pan dv2500
