need to remove scar/bald spot on actor...trying to use clone stamp tool

hello.

i'm doing post on a student film where one of the primary actors has a small bald spot due to some scar and he really wants it to go away...i need some help

i'm having some luck using the clone stamp tool in AE 6 but don't fully understand all of the options in the clone tool's dialog boxes, like the spacing % and angle.

its only four or five scenes where the spot is visible but there mostly handheld shots so i can't really see using tracking but i'm open for any options/opinions!
