NEWBIE: PLEASE HELP Export settings
by Ben Matt on Nov 8, 2008 at 4:53:31 pm

Hi Guys,

I am trying to do a motion loop for a project. I have been looking at the motionloops created by powerpointsermons.com. They are awesome. I see that they say their settings are 720 x 480 NTSC, 30fps and they give the loops in WMV, MPEG1, MPEG4.

I am using after effects CS3. I create my background graphic as 720 x 480 and apply my plugin effect. But I have not clue how to export or render my movie so it remains good quality. The following is my problem:

1. MPEG 4 - I render as this but the quality becomes so pixelated. I dont know how and where to choose the right settings to render in the above mentioned format/quality etc. etc. PLEASE HELP

2. MPEG1 - Does not exist anywhere in my aftereffects. I dont know where to find the format. It does exist in Premier and I also use Vegas. What should be the right render settings here ?

3. WMV - This also becomes really blurry and pixelated after my render. What should my settings be.

So basically, that is my problem. I have everything ready but I am sure that in the export/render I choose the wrong settings and that is why my project looks so blurry/fuzzy/pixelated.

Look at the loops at

PLEASE !!! CAN SOMEONE SHED SOME LIGHT FOR ME, OR HELP ME TO KNOW WHICH RENDER SETTINGS TO CHOOSE TO GET GOOD QUALITY IN THOSE FORMATS ABOVE ?

I WOULD BE SOOOOO GRATEFUL !!!
