Memory usage doesn't come down after rendering!

Hello friends,

After I render a 30 sec composition, the AfterFX.exe goes to 1.2 GB
of RAM usage. Ok fine, you require some memory for rendering. But the issue is that the Memory usage still remains at 1.2 GB even if I start a new project. So everytime I render, I make sure I restart AE for fresh projects.

Is this normal?

PC - Intel Core 2 Chipset, 4 GB Ram
AFX CS3 Demo.
