Re: object to position to follow mask

no, i don't want it to move when the mask layer moves. here's a better example, i have a circle mask on a solid. there are no key frames, the mask doesn't move, but i want a separate object to move along the path of the mask so the movement of the object is defined by the vector path(s) of the mask. so in the instance above, the object would move in a circle because it is moving along the path of the circle mask. i seems like it should be able to be done but maybe it can't. it's similar to motion sketch in that in motion sketch you draw your path on screen and keyframes are captures and you can apply those keyframes to any object. the difference is that i don't want to try to draw my path, i already have it in mask form and i was hoping i could tell an object to move along that path.

thanks
