Same here...
by Andra on Feb 7, 2006 at 8:43:22 pm

Same here! I've never worked with audio in AE before, and thought I should check it out. I've got a 12 second drumloop at 44.1 kHz and 16 bits in Stereo that I imported into a new project. I pulled it onto the "new comp" to make a new comp the length of the loop.

When I open the "footage" and hit play, the drums are there.

When I hit 0 for RAM preview... nothing

When I hit . for audio preview... nothing

When I render a movie... nothing

I've tried using the speaker switch on the layer... nothing

I've tried the speaker switch on the Time Controls... nothing
By the way: which position means SOUND ON for that switch. The in (with stop sign) or out (without stop sign) position>

When I open up (pull down) the audio layer all the way including the waveform, it doesn't display a waveform. Instead, there's a flat blue line, as if there isn't any audio. Again, there should be audio because I can hear it as footage.

The meters on the audio panel haven't moved yet, either.

My Audio Preview settings are 50 seconds at 44.1 kHz, 16bits, Stereo.

I'm probably missing something here, but I would really like to get this working. So any and all ideas are welcome...
Thanks in advance!

Yours,
Andra
