This has been covered before, but I can't seem to get it right. I would appreciate help. I am using FCP 6 on the following system:
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (early 2008 MacBook Pro) with 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
I pulled in some dvd footage using ISkysoft DVD ripper, using the FCP preset. Files imported have the following properties: H.264, 1280X720, 25fps, with a data rate of 1.2 MB/S. My system should be able to handle it but whenever I drop an effect on a clip I am getting the RT playback error "Warning -- Dropped Frames". (eg 1 from
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1165).
