Josh AderholdDeinterlacing through compressor results in striped stills.

Having problems with exporting again. I'm exporting HDCAM footage (10-bit) to an SD DVD. I found that de-interlacing to a progressive field with frame controls gives me a better result than setting it to "Same as Source." Everything looks great until I get to a still image. Then I see striped lines across the still/motion graphic.

What's happening?

This is showing up on my computer monitor as well as televisions (Tube TV, Plasma). Only on still images or Motion Graphics.

I'm assuming it's because it's trying to deinterlace something that isn't interlaced to begin with. What can I do to solve this?

Thanks in advance.
