Combining clips in master sequence Video only, no audio

I'm sure this is easily rectified but I can't figure out what has happened (what I have done) such that when I combine clips together into a "Master" sequence, I see video but no audio.
Audio is present in the other sequences but it's when I drag and drop them into the Master sequence timeline I get diddly zip.
Puzzled in CT...
