Mixing Lower Even and Upper Odd footage

Hello,
I'm working on a project which was shot on two cameras - one high definition pal 1080i captured as Apple Intermediate codec and one standard definition DV pal. I'm attempting to combine the footage into a DV PAL sequence but of course, DV PAL is lower field dominance and AIC 1080i50 is upper odd. As a result, I'm getting incredibly dodgy looking footage from the HD stuff - all field dominance related.
Could someone offer some advice on what to do here?
Thanks very much in advance
