You are correct - sorry... Best Buy page was wrong. Finally got to sony's page:

Anyway --

You have a few options. Get a card for your computer so you can send hdmi into it. Expensive option.

What format are the files? Can you drag them via usb to an scratch drive and then you'll need to convert them to prores or avchd type format.

Sorry -- I'm no help. This camera is not for FCP. Or at least they didn't make it very easy to use with FCP.
