I just tried it but it didnt work for me. it seems like I can move the clip around in the time line (if I hold both shift and opt) but not the position of the object within the canvas. I just made a text clip and inserted on the time line. Then I selected it pressed Q and then held down option and used the arrows. Nothing happened..... Am I missing some step here?
