I can help you with this.
1. Connect the camcorder to your computer.
2. Slide your camcorder's POWER switch to PLAY (vcr). And make sure your tape/card is set at TAPE.
3. Load a blank tape in your camera.
4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE) button >/II on the camcorder.
5. When you get to the point where you wish to stop recording, press the sstop button or the pause button.
NOTE: you can monitor the picture on the LCD screen/viewfinder of your camcorder if you wish.
When I read your post I thought wow, been there done that! It took me 4-5 days to figure out what I was doing wrong when I wanted to take my pre rendered video from Vegas 6 editing software back onto my camera.
