What do you mean by 'simple videos'? More details of exactly what you are wanting to up-rez would be helpful.

This is generally done using the Frame Controls in Compressor 3. I'm presuming you'll be wanting to use the resize and deinterlace controls, have everything set to 'best'.

See page 255 of the compressor 3 manual for more details.
