batch processing MainConcept Reference!

hi guys .... please help .. and save me having sit up all night starting each of my 37 files to be encoded ...
the batch processing component is either very counter-intuitive or I am totally missing something ... the only way I can seem to add files is to open each one, one at a time, add it to the batch.. and so on ... now this wouldn't be too bad, except when I hit START it crashes ....
Surely there is a way I can tell it to apply the same compression settings to 37 files ... hit Start, and come back in the morning?
The user manual that comes with this is completely useless ... any help would be great ... thanks!
