afterfx.dll error
by Jonathan Bliss on Nov 4, 2009 at 6:11:29 pm

Hey everyone, I hope somebody can help me with this.

When I start up after effects it says after effects has encountered a problem and needs to close. When I click on the dont send or send error report button the same error message pops up, and this happens four times every time. However once I click through all of the error messages after effects doesn't shut down and runs OK. However the same thing happens every time i run a ram preview. I get four messages telling me after effects needs to close then it doesn't and runs fine.
On the error report it says something about afterfx.dll

I have reinstalled after effects a few times I have run anti virus and spy ware programs and have run a registry fix and have replaced the afterfx.dll file with other ones and the same message keeps popping up.

My last resort is to just start over and reinstall windows all together but I would really like to avoid doing that.

If anyone has any idea of how to fix this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Jonathan Bliss
