Holy crap, CC sphere utilities costs US$100! Might be worth it if you plan to do this kind of mapping often.
But...
You can create another layer in your comp for your arrows, apply CC Sphere to it, and make it slightly larger than the globe. Syncing the two layers can get complicated but that's why After Effects is not for kids.
