If you are interested in something like what what you have used in the past, you should check out our RE:Flex plugin for AE. It uses free-form splines (using AE's masks, so you don't have to learn a new spline interface!)

Note that we are the only morpher on the market that uses an automatic alignment feature (using optical flow, a type of motion estimation) to help improve the results of your morphs.

There is a free download as well, so you can try it out (make sure to read the manual that is installed when you download the plug-in).
