okay, I tried following his steps this morning but they were a little vague and confusing (maybe I'm just too new to this). Still couldn't get the nulls to line up right.

In reading up on some different forums, it seems like PFT is also a pretty popular 3D motion tracker. I may try that soon if it interacts with AE any better.
