put your pictures in Z space, tick the little square on your layer, and push your pictures back. make a camera and a null object. pick whip the camera to the null and then make your null 3d (tick the little square) then all you have to do is animate the null object on the z axis. each of your picture will reveal themselves when the camera passes over them. after you get that set up and keyframe your cameras path (keyframing the null, do not touch the camera) you can make text. copy the position of the picture you want text in front of and paste it on the text that you created, then just move the text on the z out a little.

after you tick the square on the layer your wanting to make 3d, hit (P) that will give you position. it'll look like (1,2,3) the 3rd number in this case the number 3 is the z axis.
