Yes, I saw that tutorial. Good stuff! It was Andrew Kramer's 3D city tutorial that got me started in this quest.

After a week of googling and posting, I've come up empty. Nobody seems to be doing Sketchup/AE integration.

Sketchup can export to VRML. I'm thinking about writing a program to
convert VRML to something I can use with AE.
