Hi there.

This message usually comes up to me when I´m trying to preview a comp and the timeline indicator is at the last frame (and I have the preview set to from current time).

It means you just have one frame so there´s no was AE can create an animation.

I don´t know much about your situation (comp lengh, size, poit in time...) but it came to mind.

Hope it was of some help.

Cheers.

ninguem.
