Nathan: I recorded the tutorial while the composition was previewing at 1/4 resolution, so that might be part of the problem. I almost always work at low resolution and shift+ram preview (skip every other frame) while I'm setting things up and then only do a full res render at the end. Obviously do what you need to do in your specific situation but 20 seconds per frame sounds really slow. Have you played wint turning open gl on and off?

Eduardo: Install the pixel bender toolkit and then drag the droste.pbk file into AE's plugin folder. That should be it.
