Real Time Image scaling in AE CS4

Hiya,
Im sure theres a simple answer for this, just wondering what setting I have to turn on in AE CS4 to be able to see the image scaling and being moved around in 2d and 3d space. All I see when i do this currently is the image becomes a box with an X going through it, until im done moving it, then you can see it again.
CS3 seems to allow you to see the image on Default. Thanks for your time.
