AE to Premiere Workflow issue - Need advice

Hello Friends!
I have a footage of an Interview taken of one of my Manager. It was recorded using a laptop camera and so you can see only the Interviewee. So here is what I want to do.
1. Edit the footage and filter out portions where the Manager is answering the question.
2. The Questions will appear in the form of some Motion graphics
(Without the Interviewer's sound) and followed by the Footage
with answers and so on.
Here is my approach
1. Took the footage in premiere pro, cut the parts where the questions are getting answered. Between the parts I inserted some blank frames for 5 seconds
2. Took them into after affects, inserted the Motion graphic which reads out the Question under the blank frames in a new layer
Works fine!
But am not happy with this approach as it is tedious to match the Motion graphic text between the video parts and what if I had 100 questions and answers. Best thing would have been to edit in AE itself but I guess it is not so cool doing editing in AE.
Not sure If I explained right or confused you but would appreciate if someone can tell me what should be the right work flow.
Thankx so Much!
