Project speed/fps to fast. HELP PLEASE !!!
by Ben Matt on Nov 20, 2008 at 5:18:58 pm

Hi everyone,

I created a project in AE. I took a small MPEG clip of a burning candle. The clip was at 25 fps. I imported it into my AE project, overlaid it on a nice background and wrote some nice text with it. However, when I play back the movie the candle flame are wiggling so fast as if it the speed had been increased. I looked at my project settings and changed my frame rate down from 30fps to 25fps, but it is still doing the same thing. How do I keep my candle moving at the original speed it was recorded ?

I also made use of particular and the "stars" function, using explosion setting. Even this seems to be at such a high speed when playing back. It totally looks unrealistic.

So my 2 questions is this : How do I get my candle to burn at the original frame rate it was recorded at ? And using particular, where to I set the speed with which the little stars explode and move ?

THANKS EVERYONE !!
