Sparklers or Fireworks Writing in After Effects
by Daniel Brodie on Aug 26, 2008 at 2:21:28 pm

Hello,

I'd like to create an effect where a phrase is written-on the screen as if it was being drawn with sparklers. Or if you'd rather, as if someone had created the text in real life using a bunch of sparklers and then lit one end so it caught fire from left to right. The revealing of the text is not really the problem, it's more that I need the sparks to be emanating from within the text, although if you have a method of revealing the text that is great, I'd love to hear it.

I have the entire Trapcode suite and the entire Sapphire suite of plugins. I have also looked at the trapcode pyro pack which does include some text effects and some sparkler non-text effects, but I'm not really sure how to combine the two. If you have any specific settings or methods, please share.

Thanks so much.
