Look for CC light sweep.
that will create the glint for you.
If you make a coy of the layer and add some blur or experiment with the glow fitlers you shoudl be able to make that work.

However, if you dive deeply into text animators you can do this on a character by character basis. There are about 100 pages on text animators in the online manual for AE.
